Youth Dance Companies

London Broncos RL Foundation are keen to support Youth Dance Development - working with young people aged 14-24 who aspire to study dance or indeed train towards a career within dance.

The Foundation is pleased to announce that they are supporting two separate Youth Dance Companies, providing free training opportunities, to develop young dancers through high quality dance experiences. Creating a company environment where dancers can develop their training, choreography and performance skills. Working with professional dancers to create dance pieces that the companies will tour in various theatres and venues in and around London.

Strut - Youth Dance Company

Based at Richmond Upon Thames College, two companies will be created for first years and second years. Open to dance students and non-dance students. All dancers will have participated in an open workshop/audition. The second year company consists of four committee members who take an active role in representing the company, including researching for choreographers to commission a piece on the company, as well as researching funding opportunities. Rehearsals Thursday's from 4:45-6:15pm.

2nd Nature Dance Company

Based at Roehampton University, the company is for 17-24 year olds from the Wandsworth, Richmond and Feltham Borough. The company is accompanied by five third year dance students who are members of the company as well as supporting the younger members of the company.

Rehearsals Wednesday's from 6:00-8:00pm.
