Once again we have a fantastic intern opportunity available within the Public Relations and Marketing department. This will run for the entire length of the 2009/10 season, giving the successful applicant the opportunity to experience life in a Premiership and Heineken Cup club. The position will suit a student looking to fill a year-long work placement, or a recent graduate looking to break into the sports PR / Marketing industry.
Duties will include:
• Writing copy and helping to produce Quins matchday programme, official website and all commercial and marketing literature
• Helping to run the Quins press office, both during the week and on a matchday
• Helping to run Quins award-winning matchday experience
• General PR and Marketing administration
The suitable candidate will possess excellent writing skills, a good eye for detail and have the ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines; therefore, experience in journalism and/or producing publications would be beneficial.
Knowledge of Harlequins and rugby union in general is preferable, but not essential. Please note that this role will involve working at weekends and some unsocial hours.
This is an excellent opportunity to build a significant portfolio across a number of PR and Marketing fields, as well as working alongside the Community, Sales and Sponsorship departments within one of the world's best known rugby clubs.
