Scholarship U16

The U16s London Broncos RL Scholarship is part of the RFL World Class Program which is supported by Sport England to develop locally produced players for Super League and at international level.

All Scholarships are reviewed and graded by the RFL and players are tested on a regular basis to provide national information on size, strength, speed and power. The main focus of the scholarship is the longer term development of the players but there are also playing opportunities with six fixtures played between April and May.

The London Broncos RL Scholarship runs on a weekly basis (with additional sessions during school holiday) covering the following areas:

• Core rugby league skills
• Game knowledge
• Team play
• Lifestyle eg. nutrition
• Strength and Conditioning
• Player reviews, video analysis
• Sports psychology

Players receive Scholarship on an annual basis and are selected through the Rugby League competitions in the Capital and a scouting network.
