It was to be the Broncos who got off to the perfect start however when Kieran Dixon scored after just five minutes.
The ball was shifted out to David Howell who burst inside his man before playing in Dixon to get the first try of the afternoon.
The visitor's lead was short lived however as the Giants worked the ball down the left to Joe Wardle who broke the line before offloading to Aaron Murphy for a simple finish.
Soon after the home side were in the lead. The impressive Greg Eden dummied his way through the Broncos defence before brushing off a couple of tackles to score.
The Broncos then brought the game back to within two points when Craig Gower's kick to the left flank was knocked backwards by Jermaine McGillvary and Dixon reacted quickest to ground his second try of the afternoon.
With ten minutes to go until half time, the Broncos were dealt a major blow when first Larne Patrick careered over the line to score from close range and then Danny Brough set up Eden for another try after some neat footwork.
A quick fire double after the break from Luke Robinson seemed to have wrapped things up for Huddersfield only for Scott Wheeldon to get one back for the Broncos with his first try for the club.
Any thoughts of a come back were dashed with 20 minutes to go when the Claret and Golds moved the ball down the left flank once again and Aaron Murphy went over in the corner.
Dale Ferguson thought he had scored when he broke from his own 20 but he was caught superbly by Tony Clubb when it seemed that a try was all but certain.
The home side didn't have to wait long for another score though. McGillvary made amends for his earlier error with a try after taking advantage of a gap in the Broncos defense.
Leroy Cudjoe thought he was the next to get his name on the scoresheet however his try was disallowed for obstruction.
Ferguson then took his team to the 50 point mark when he went over after a short pass from Robinson which cemented their place in the semi-finals of the competition.
