James Morgan began playing rugby at the age of six for Hunslet Warriors befrore moving to Oulton Raiders and Hunslet Parkside amateur clubs. He joined London Broncos U20s after playing at Featherstone Rovers academy.

Outside of rugby Morgan studies Financial Maths at Brunel University. His hobbies include listening to and playing music, watching sport and eating chicken.
