Tomas Scarsbrook started playing rugby union at the age of seven before playing rugby league at the age of eleven as a summer sport. He played for Hainault Bulldogs but after two seasons Scarsbrook moved to Brentwood Eels. Between 2009 and 2011 the young stand off was part of the Player Development Centre.
In his spare time he plays golf and enjoys fishing.
