London Broncos 66 - 18 Swinton Lions

London Broncos completed the Championship regular season campaign with a 12-try victory over Swinton Lions.

The match also saw first-team debuts for Jamie Hewson, Henry Lenthall, Will Jones and Fin Hay, while Jermarie Chatham was named as 18th man.

Liam Tindall opened the scoring early on, as he crossed in the corner on his first appearance in 10 weeks. Teddy Davidson took over the kicking duties and converted, becoming the ninth player to kick a goal for the Broncos in 2026.

Swinton then lost possession when Ellis Anderson was unable to gather Hewson's short kick. A penalty for a ball steal on Marcus Stock extended London's possession, and a few tackles later Sadiq Adebiyi took a short pass from dummy-half Sam Davis to score beside the posts. Davidson converted.

Lenthall scored his first try in first-team rugby league in the 17th minute. Quick hands from Stock created space for Jack Croft, who then found Lenthall. The debutant broke through and ran 50 metres to score under the posts, with Davidson adding the conversion.

Swinton's Jack Stevens then produced a restart that bounced dead in-goal, giving London a goal-line drop-out. The Lions regained possession 30 metres from the London line, but an incorrect play-the-ball on the second tackle handed the Broncos possession on their own 30.

London moved downfield and Sam Davis broke through several tackles before scoring under the posts. Davidson converted.

The restart again resulted in a goal-line drop-out, and Swinton took advantage on their second opportunity. Pat Ah Van kept the ball alive before passing to Gav Rodden, who grubbered behind the London defensive line. Trent Kelly-Duffy collected the ball and grounded it, with Reece Briers adding the conversion.

London responded through Tindall. Adebiyi made ground before Davis passed to Ben Hursey-Hord, who found Hewson. The scrum-half moved the ball to Alex Max, who passed wide to Tindall. The winger crossed in the right corner, although Davidson was unable to convert.

Another error from the restart gave Swinton possession from a drop-out. Ah Van's kick towards the right corner bounced away from him, allowing Jones to collect the ball and return it 60 metres into Swinton territory. London moved the ball to the right, where Max crossed to score and Davidson converted.

A high-tackle penalty then gave Swinton field position inside the London half. A short pass put Samy Kibula through from close range, with Briers converting to make the score 34–12.

Swinton then lost the ball on their own 30-metre line. Three tackles later, Stock found a gap in the defensive line and crossed for London's seventh try. Davidson converted to make it 40–12 at half-time.

Swinton had an opportunity to score early in the second half after receiving a scrum on London's 10-metre line, but they lost possession and Max collected the ball before running 75 metres to score under the posts. Davidson converted.

The next period included handling errors from both sides, with Swinton conceding two penalties and London losing possession 10 metres from the Lions' line.

In the 50th minute, Will Lovell made a break and passed to Max, who crossed for his second third try of the afternoon. Davidson was unable to convert.

Lenthall then scored his second try on his debut. Tommy Porter intercepted a pass from Ah Van following a break, and with the Swinton defensive line still regrouping, Lenthall ran 55 metres to score. Davidson missed the conversion.

Just before the hour mark, London were penalised for offside on their own 20-metre line, allowing Gav Rodden to run through a gap and score near the right corner. Briers converted.

London responded after Swinton were penalised for a push on a marker at the play-the-ball. Stock crossed for his second try of the afternoon, scoring beside the posts, and Davidson converted.

In the final minute, Jones was tackled by Dylan Kelly-Duffy and Jordan Brown. Following the tackle, an altercation developed between the players, resulting in a mass confrontation involving both teams.

After the incident, Brown and Jones were shown red cards and London were awarded a penalty.

With the remaining seconds, Tindall broke down the right wing before passing inside to Tommy Porter. The replacement hooker crossed under the posts, and Davidson converted before the final hooter sounded.
