London Broncos 58 - 10 Hull FC
London Broncos Women Run Riot in Dominant Victory Over Hull FC
The London Broncos Women produced a commanding performance to secure an emphatic win over Hull FC, running in a flurry of tries in an entertaining and one-sided contest.
The London Broncos Women made their intentions clear from the opening minute. Tamsin Barber crossed for an early try, quickly followed by Perri Newman, giving the hosts a strong advantage inside the opening exchanges.
Hull FC responded with a try of their own after 10 minutes to narrow the gap, but the London Broncos Women maintained control through their attacking intent and physical dominance.
Hermione Titcombe was the standout performer, delivering a sensational display that saw her cross for multiple tries.
She opened her account in the first half with a well-taken finish in the corner, before completing a hat-trick before the break. Titcombe wasn’t done there either—adding a fourth early in the second half with a powerful solo effort that saw her fend off defenders and sprint clear for a 50-metre score.
Her clinical finishing, combined with sharp attacking play from supporting teammates, proved too much for Hull FC to handle.
Further tries from Eleanor Hunt-Pain and Siobhan Crosley-Hughes ensured the London Broncos Women continued to pile on the pressure. Hunt-Pain finished off a slick attacking move following strong carries from Tamsin Barber and Rebecca Smart, highlighting the team’s cohesion and ability to move the ball effectively.
A standout moment came when Ffion Lewis intercepted the ball and raced 90 metres upfield, putting Hull FC under severe pressure and setting up another attacking opportunity.
To their credit, Hull FC never stopped competing. They managed a converted try in the second half and produced some strong defensive moments, including a crucial goal-line stand late in the game.
However, they were ultimately unable to contain the London Broncos Women relentless attacking waves.
The match concluded with a spectacular long-range effort from Emily Bell, who burst clear and sprinted 50 metres to score, capping off an impressive team performance.
