London Broncos 64 - 0 Midlands Hurricanes

London Broncos defeated Midlands Hurricanes 64–0 at  Cherry Red Records Stadium, recording their 11th consecutive win in all competitions and league matches. The game also marked Sadiq Adebiyi’s 100th appearance for the club.

London opened the scoring with their first possession. After extending the set through a penalty for a ruck infringement, Gairo Voro stepped past Oliver Roberts to score near the posts, allowing Dean Hawkins an easy conversion. Hawkins finished the match with seven successful kicks from ten attempts, as well as a try of his own.

Midlands’ first significant attack came through a break by Jon-Luke Kirby, but Teddy Davidson stopped the move with a one-on-one tackle and ball steal. London’s next opportunity resulted in their second try, with Morea Morea setting up Liam Tindall in the corner. Hawkins was unable to convert.

The Broncos continued to make ground consistently and added further tries through Voro, after a 40-metre break, and Morea following a long-range move from the restart. Tindall later scored his second try after a pass from Lovell, with Hawkins’ conversion extending the lead to 26–0 after 26 minutes.

The remainder of the first half saw Midlands enjoy a sustained spell of possession, aided by penalties and repeat sets. However, handling errors and ineffective kicks prevented them from breaking through London’s defence, and the score remained unchanged at half-time.

London again scored with their opening possession of the second half. After Midlands failed to trouble the line despite extended possession, Ben Hursey-Hord broke through before passing to Morea to score close to the posts.

Morea completed a hat-trick shortly after with a run across field through several defenders, before adding a fourth try with a finish in the corner. He then assisted Voro’s third try with a pass to the right edge. Hawkins converted the score after the ball struck the upright and went over.

Midlands attempted to use early kicks in the tackle count to force London to work from deep positions, but Morea dealt effectively with most of the kicks. The visitors’ best outcomes from these plays were forcing goal-line drop-outs and regaining possession in attacking territory.

The final ten minutes brought three more Broncos tries. Adebiyi marked his 100th appearance with a try from a short pass by Hawkins, before later assisting Hawkins for another score. Jimmy Meadows took over kicking duties for the conversion after Hawkins left the field.

The final try of the match saw Voro complete his four-try performance with a long run from deep inside his own half. To mark the occaision, Adebiyi attempted the final conversion but was unsuccessful.
